I’m sick of people only being anti-imperialist when people they consider to be white are the oppressors. Be anti-imperialist always. Recognize the Sahrawi Republic (the EU won’t bc they want Morocco to help them keep non white ppl out)

What does “non white ppl” have to do with anything? Yes, the EU works closely with Morocco to ensure EU border security - that seems natural given Morocco’s location As for the Sahrawi Republic, the EU is neutral. If the EU took a stance on it, you’d also be calling it imperialism bc why is Europe interfering with Africa’s internal affairs?

Brussels makes sure Spain works with Morocco to keep refugees from coming through Cueta and Melilla, the Spanish cities in Africa where refugees can claim EU asylum because it’s EU soil. Refugees often die due to the actions of the Spanish and Moroccan border guards.

yes, securing borders is a standard function of any governing body, but the nature of the EU-Morocco border agreement relies on outsourcing violence the EU pays Morocco millions of dollars specifically to act as an externalized, militarized buffer zone, in practice this means Moroccan authorities launch massive often violent crackdowns, raids, and forced internal deportations specifically targeting sub-Saharan, non-white migrants to prevent them from reaching European soil

Spain recognized Morocco’s claim to the Western Sahara after they threw a fit about Spain letting a Sahrawi leader in for medical treatment so they wouldn’t lose border support.
