Hear me out what if we utilized economy of scale by combining the autonomous cars together, and driving them on rails which had power inside of them. They could stop at common stops so people could hop and hop off when ever they needed

So then I have to stop at every common stop on the way to where I’m going? Sounds slow

Nope. Because of economy of scale we can have different type of these “autonomous linked-car pods.” Some get you really close to your stop, but others will take you between cities faster than cars can take you. And since they’re autonomous you can sleep on the pods or get work done.
