I don't think she deserved it either, there are very few people who truly deserve to be shot by the police, but you have to recognize that her death is a result of her own choice to be in such a high tension scenario with a deadly weapon as much as it a result of the cops actions to use deadly force.
Your first reply is made with the premise of the “weapon” being pointed away from the officer. You can’t make the argument that “well we wouldn’t be on their side if the knife was away from the officer” and then switch to “well the car was aimed at the officer actually” when it falls flat
I'm not even saying what she did was wrong from her perspective, a lot of people could have made that mistake. I can also see how the cop who had 23 stitches from being ran over during a previous arrest might think something other than a mistake is occurring when having a car driven right at him.
This argument is honestly ridiculous. It’s trying to take away any responsibility from the officer by saying “he was just really scared and incompetent.” That doesn’t justify what he did or any of the actions taken afterwards. It was a CAR. People DRIVE in cars. an officer doesn’t become a victim after intentionally walking in front of one and then killing someone
