That’s the entire point, the end goal is to be able to strip citizenship from dissidents and people that cause problems

but like would the naturalization laws of 1906 hold up in court? or even 1870? they were wayyyy different back then and would directly contradict every new law and then with birthright citizenship none of us would be citizens

ok not none of us, but lots of us. like idk if my great great grandparents even went through the legal process and might've been illegal and then my entire lineage is illegal which would make ME illegal

Huh? No, this is just based on birthright citizenship. It still exists but you have to PROVE your parent was either a citizen or permanent resident at time of birth to get a citizenship certificate:

It’s not a constitutional change, it’s just an executive order which changes the qualifications of citizenship. Before then, even if the constitution allowed it, the law upheld birthright citizenship. It WOULD apply retroactively from Feb 19, 2025 until today, from when the EO went into effect until now.

see but that's the thing they're using the constitution to review this EO, so if they say that birthright citizenship isn't suddenly allowed, couldn't I trace my lineage back and be like "uh bro" because they used the constitution to review the EO like I don't think it would be that simple. it would open up floodgates for a lot of shit
