I believe in it, but given the recent gates statement on the matter and my own opinion as a scientist, I think it’s real but overblown for effect. Why don’t you see progressives pushing it as hard as before? Why is thunberg focusing on Palestine, not CO2?

I think it’s quite important but doing something about it will take a hundred years. Our infrastructure is mostly petroleum based. If we can get fusion power to actually produce not only net energy we can get work to get rid of fossil fuels. Right now the best we have is nuclear energy which is very expensive. That’s why the Department of Energy is currently spending tens of billions of dollars to support the construction of nuclear power plants because licensing scheme we have had since

The late 70s made it virtually improbable to build a nuclear plant in the US. Actually only two nuclear power reactors have been built in the US since the early 80s. They ended up being over budget by more than 100% because nobody knew how to build them

Appreciate the realism, you seem well educated; now another question that is somewhat related. Do you think their is a solution to massive overfishing and deforestation or is that just a byproduct of human overpopulation
