are you delusional and think it’s not? anything that was involved in the confederacy has a reasonable argument to say they’re a “southern” state. like i don’t consider missouri a southern state at all but i’m people who grew up there who talk about missouri being part of the south like it’s the most obvious thing ever

This is the correct take. Texas is simply too big to make a blanket “Texas is the South” or “Texas is the Southwest” because parts of Texas are in both for sure
