When people stopped working for less than 1 month during the pandemic, they got so desperate that they started straight up sending us money. And the economy was actually stimulated for the first time in over 5 decades

You’re just proving my point? The shutdown of the government is overall a bad thing to happen for the general population. Leading to public services and other things to fall into disrepair, had taxes not been paid we wouldn’t have gotten those Stimulus checks. Also, Barack had started similar programs during the 2008 Recession. Though not stimulus check based but focused on supporting those affected by the housing crisis.

yeah so we can pool our own money into social services (yk the same money we pay to taxes but instead of the govt allocating spending it’s the taxpayers) so that nothing changes except for who has control of the money

Let’s count how many times that has ever worked as well as anarchist thought such as it. Unfortunately non centralized money often just ends up in the hands of corporations. This also relies on the willingness of people to contribute to pooling.
