i am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and answer sincerely— no, of course not. israel is deeply imperfect and everyone has their complaints. most US Jews have major concerns and complaints about how Israel treats Palestinians in particular. however, they are not going to talk about those concerns with a non-Jewish anonymous stranger online because they are afraid of you
Zionism is not Judaism, OP. You’re assuming that people in the Jewish yikyak automatically support Israel when that’s not the case (but it is a mindset perpetrated by Israel, blurring the lines between Zionism and Judaism while attempting to link them inherently) It’s important to advocate for the emancipation of the Palestinian people, and for a one-state coexistence solution; but don’t start inadvertently perpetrating antisemitic bullshit along the way. (and yes, one state. don’t even start)
all of us have been in situations where our words were cherry picked to justify violence against Israeli civilians. all of us have been told we are genocidal baby killers when we try to express concern for both Israelis and Palestinians. all of us have felt hurt and betrayal when the people who ask us these questions turn out to not be asking in good faith. all of us have dealt with increased danger, increased violence, increased hiding, increased security, and increased violence
And you did it again. I was told something completely different about the whole “goy” thing and that’s on me for not researching it myself. I’m not telling you grieving for an attack on a preschool is playing the victim card. I shouldn’t have to explain myself when I’ve already explained it: both sides are horrific but there seems to be a distinct difference in the scale of the atrocities committed by either side
