Why would they "need to be safe" if it was staged? Idk why you would be telling people in a room full of reporters that there's about to be a staged shooting. Couldn't it be possible that he was telling her to be sate for an unrelated reason, wouldn't that be more likely than a grand conspiracy?

… this is the White House Correspondant’s Dinner, though. It’s secured by the secret service. The president, the vice president, and numerous other VERY high ranking officials of the government are present. The WHCD is the of the most secure places in the united states. What, in your opinion, is more likely to be a threat in that environment that justifies a “be very safe” comment?
