U cant really use the environment argument while u use The internet, discount and name brand clothing lines, and electricity to power anything. Unless ur in an amish community, making everything urself and not using modern tech, ur wasting a shit ton of water.

Yeah you absolutely can. Plenty of things use power but AI is extremely power hungry, moreso that almost any other consumer facing digital technology. You’re not a hypocrite for using a phone or tv and still being aware of this

Sure, ai is water intensive compared to regular internet/server farm warehouses.- while ai hasnt exceed other industries yet it is growing fast. This however seems to go right back to hating mega corporations building these massive warehouses to run their operations and replace their human workforce. Microsoft, google, amazon, and many social media companies for example. How is this comparable to the small consumer usage?
