Wym? When did I bring up U.S. shootings? I’m just saying that pieces of paper with a symbol of a crossed out gun have a 100000% guaranteed effect of stopping criminals from committing shootings!

Banning firearms seems to have drastically prevented shootings from being committed…but what fuck do statistics matter, right?

In other countries that have banned firearms since they were invented, yes it works. Find me one statistic, just one example, of a country with as many firearms as the United States where gun control has proven effective in reducing gun crimes. Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in not just the U.S. but the world, and they have shootings DAILY. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult for you guys to comprehend that criminals don’t follow the law.

Are you against illegal immigration?

Thanks for not providing an example and proving my point then trying to pivot to a totally unrelated topic because you have the IQ of a 3rd grader. Illegal immigration is a crime that can be stopped. We have genuine statistics proving that with an effectively secured border we can reduce illegal immigration ten fold. What do you think is going to happen when legal gun owners are forced to surrender their guns while criminals with illegal ghost guns retain their firearms?

Lol figured. Muh crime can’t be stop we must arm everyone! But all of a sudden illegal immigration can be stopped with enforcement. Sick fucking logic bro. Smartest gun owner.

Not to mention, legal gun owners wouldn’t be “forced” to surrender weapons, you would just ban the selling of them and ban carrying them. It stays in your house and if you’re caught with one, it’s a huge punishment. It’s not hard to build a system that doesn’t require police going door to door looking for guns lol

You say “statistics show that gun control reduces gun crimes” but when statistics show that a secured border reduces illegal immigration, sex trafficking, and drug smuggling it apparently doesn’t count? They’re two totally and completely unrelated arguments. Just because enforcement works for one thing doesn’t mean it works for everything, and yes it’s very hard to build a system that prevents its citizens from exercising their constitutional rights, tf?

Ohhhhh now it’s constitutional rights and that’s why we can’t get rid of them! Damn! Welp I guess that’s that then. Can’t change it! Can’t conceptually think of a way to incentivize gun owners to give up guns or heavily punish them if they’re caught with weapons! Damn!

And I’m not the one saying border control doesn’t work, you are. You’re invalidating gun control stats yet you fundamentally agree with EXACTLY what you fear for gun owners but against immigrants. I don’t give a shit about the morality of it, I just think you’re trying to be slippery when you definitely ain’t that lol.

The use of sarcasm in a debate is typically an indication of emotional or defensive tactics. You’re yet to give me a point of data or reference to defend your argument, so you use sarcasm as a substitute. To a certain extent I understand the use of it, but the timing and context in which you used it is awkward and really only effective against people who are emotionally reactive, and I’m not one of them. Let me know when you’d like to communicate like an adult.

I’m not invalidating gun control stats. In a countries where firearms have been heavily regulated and restricted for centuries, gun control works just because they don’t have that many guns to manage. To compare a country with little to no weapons to a country with the most weapons and to then say “it worked for them so it must for work for us” is painfully unrealistic, and again statistics from Chicago show it does absolutely nothing to prevent gun crimes.

You ever stop to think that change takes time? Like obv it’s not going to be an instantaneous fix. It’s absurd to think that it could be. But change HAS to start somewhere. I think it’s pretty irrefutable that the fact we have at least one mass shooting per day (let alone other murders) on average should be motivation enough to realize that we need to make a difference for the better. The status quo is literally people dying.

Agreed 100%, I don’t think leaving things as they should is the correct move at all, but punishing law abiding citizens because criminals have low impulse control along with other mental issues is not the way to solve this issue. It’s a people problem at the end of the day, not a gun problem. Take a gun away from a shooter and he’ll just use a car or a blade instead.

Again, the overuse of sarcasm is an indication of getting over emotional and defensive. Calm down and come back when you’d like to communicate like an adult.

I’m not sure why you feel that adding restrictions to people’s ability to access certain firearms is punishing law abiding citizens? Like back in 2018 they raised the legal age to buy tobacco to 21. Was that “punishing” law abiding citizens? Or was it an attempt to protect them from cancer and death maybe?

Bro. You said I had “3 IQ” and you want to be treated like an adult? Your argument sucks fucking shit. If I didn’t know any better, you’re probably the moron who posts the 3d gun printing memes lol.
