And Animal Farm was about the corruption of communist revolutions started with good intentions. But the USA internationally propagandized both to make them out to be anti-socialist

It doesn’t feel like the EU is particularly imperialist tbh, I expect its participation in NATO to be imperialist as well as whatever individual country’s actions, but the idea of the actual union doesn’t seem as problematic from that lens
