No, that will actually mean that you get lower tax revenue than if you hadn’t raised taxes at all. The laffer curve dictates that you will have even worse public programs than if you had chosen to tax less

This largely only applies to the ultra wealthy who has the means to just leave or exploit tax loopholes like living in Florida instead of NY
