Looks like GenZ was born just in time for a war in the Middle East after all 🤦‍♂️

To be fairrrrr the Gulf War and Operation Inherent Resolve were successful

I mean; the US is good at the toppling regimes part, not so much the rebuilding and installing a democracy part

considering we went to war w Iraq 10 years later idk if we really can call the gulf war a success tbh. they did achieve some of their goals wrt Kuwait though

Bush Sr was explicit in that the gulf war was about liberating Kuwait and not regime change so I’d say it’s a success

How in the heck was operation inherent resolve a “success” when ISIS technically still exists and we had to leave troops in Syria (who continued to be attacked) for years after said “success”? Do you not do math like this rest of us? Do you also believe we won the Vietnam war ?

The whole point of inherent resolve was to dismantle the Daesh state which we did. Eradicating a terrorist group completely is not possible at all. Besides we have troops stationed in Syria to protect oil fields and territory controlled by the SDF
