This would essentially be saying the government decides what you can eat if you’re poor

Lmfao yeah if you’re poor then work. Don’t buy junk food with stamps my taxes are paying for to then need free healthcare that my taxes are also paying for

who cares what people do?? you aren’t their mother and they don’t owe you shit. you pay taxes as part of the cost of living in a normal country, how the benefits of that payment are allocated, and how its recipients utilize it, is none of your business

It’s obviously not that simple every time, this kind of thinking actually increases the taxes you pay if we/the government were more willing to spend the money to actually take care of its citizens the healthcare costs would significantly drop and save money in the long run

I wouldn’t act like you’re above free healthcare when one day you’re not gonna be able to work for the taxes you pay and someone’s gonna have to take care of you and do you think anybody wants that job? Assisted living always needs more help very high turnover rates

I pay taxes for what they’re meant to be not handouts for people who abuse welfare

buddy you pay in like two bucks a year. what you think about other peoples’ lives doesn’t matter. if someone wants to eke out a dogshit life on the miserly pittance of welfare i don’t care at all about how they do it, or for how long
