All or nothing vegans piss me off, like you win no one over to your ideology by acting like that. It’s much easier and much more impactful to encourage people to reduce their meat intake and be more mindful of where it comes from then to call everyone a murder for not being 100% vegan

Assuming their motivation is environmentalist. If it’s a meat=murder person no one’s personal opinion is going to get swayed and everyone is better just dropping the topic entirely

I only lowkey see what they’re getting at but I don’t align with it myself. Maybe they’re coming at it from a “well if you don’t support animals being treated properly, how can you be trusted to care about people being treated properly?” perspective. Add in some absolutism and their thinking is probably “oh you’re not vegetarian? so you support factory farming then?”

However, I’m not vegetarian. I’ve considered going vegetarian after seeing how animals are treated, and I’ve definitely made sure to avoid certain foods that are known to be obtained in terrible ways (e.g. foie gras)
