Nobody will like this but you are right. If Israel fell suddenly, there would probably be a counter-genocide and the Arab countries would still fight amongst themselves for other reasons.

There is a very real argument that Israel’s existence is destabilizing. It was the forced colonization of Palestine and ethnic cleansing in 1948 that started the region’s conflicts with Israel. The country from its foundation is about the removal of the native Arab population and the forced import of colonial settlers from across the world because they’re Jewish. I don’t think there is any solution that leaves Israel in its current form

Im pretty sure Mizrahi and Sephardic Jews have ties to the region and they make up a significant portion of the population so calling it a settler colonial state is just straight up disingenuous. Jewish people do have ties to the region just like the native Arab population.

The existence of Israel by itself I cannot argue is destabilizing. However, the lack of any self determination for the Palestinian people is what’s causing huge issues and that’s where we need to apply pressure on the Israeli government.

I’m not sure how you can say Israel isn’t a settler colonial state when they have literally been openly invading and settling Palestinian territory. Sure there can be a Jewish state everybody has the right to self determination, but it cannot be what Israel is today

A settler colonial state would require the settlers to not be indigenous to the land they’re controlling. Jewish people very much are indigenous to the Levant. It’s an argument over semantics at this point but yes I do agree that the current Israeli government has been pushing for more settlements in what’s internationally recognized Palestinian territory and that needs to be stopped.
