Well what they’re responding to is a groyper post covered in antisemitic dog whistles talking about racial harmony after Americans of all races unite against a common enemy. I’d feel pretty talked down to if anyone expected me to buy that shit.

it 100% is. we have been trying to moderate the jewish community as much as possible with the uptick in antisemitism, but unfortunately have no power in this community. the most we can do is report the posts.

Well when community mods can’t even ban people there’s not much anyone can do. YY is fundamentally vulnerable to hostile takeovers, e.g. the multiple Israel communities that have been created and immediately overrun with antizionist/antisemitic spam to such an extent that everyone who isn’t there to brigade just leaves.

We did migrate to a Discord to cloister ourselves away from this a couple of years ago but even that was infiltrated and mass reported and a lot of the members accounts got permabanned. We’re just not allowed to exist on the Internet I guess.

i remember hearing about the discord group, although it was before my time. i tried suggesting another attempt be made but given the history, nobody is keen on that (understandably so).
