Well yes but look at OP’s specifically said racism existed before race as a concept. Which no, bigotry existed. When we constructed race we just made it racism. Chicken vs egg situation. Race had to come before racism lol. Before race it was just a different type of bigotry. I get they said modern race but that’s just further proof humans will always construct a way to “other” people

then by that standard, racism didnt exist until the actual english word for race and english word for racism existed but the phenomenon where one person judges, fears or hates another because of their differing ethnic features, has always existed.
