I was anti death penalty even growing up on the right, because it was the NH libertarian flavor of the right. You can’t trust the government with life like that. It’s funny because NH is internally Republican controlled but Democrat- represented in US congress, but even with our Republican internal control—harsh abortion bans and the death penalty ain’t gonna happen in NH because it’s assumed that it would cause a live free or die riot.
