I mean I completely get why you would think that because “good ol boys” is inherently a conservative thing, but it has moved from a *semi* legitimate libertarian identity to solely a regressive thing since MAGA took office. Ik this is anecdote but I’ve known people that group themselves into this since middle school and since then I’ve lived in everything from southern to northern Appalachia. The vibe has definitely changed
