Also the policy banned all flags that aren’t the US flag, the Michigan flag, city flags, and flags that display the “international character” of the city, and only so on public property. Private property owned by citizens and businesses are allowed to fly whatever flags they want

yeah i’m sure the part of sharia that talks about how you worship god day to day and shit like not eating pork they would recognize lol, and to be fair that os the majority of what sharia law is. however what you guys think of is sharia as a rule based order which conservatives would overwhelmingly support if it wasn’t called sharia

This kinda hits what I already said though. It wouldn’t have anything to do with sharia if you edited out those parts. It would just be a conservative religious rule book. And obviously a conservative would likely identify with it. Pretty fruitless to tie conservatives to supporting sharia law given the clear edits that would need to be made.
