I’m not against requiring a voter id to vote as long as the government pays for it. Having to pay to participate in democracy is stupid

I will once again bring up Australian elections which are a holiday for everyone and involve feasts and drinking 😅

Maybe if people had drawn a line in the sand when states started requiring licenses to own guns, we wouldn't be in this mess

If there’s one thing that can be guaranteed on this group, it’s that some guy is always gonna show up to make it about his gun obsession

If there's another that can be guaranteed, it's that some gun grabber will get so triggered by your rights that they will ignore any argument being made and instead say "Hey look! This guy likes guns"

Can't take credit for coming up with that but if you find "Temu Tyrant" just as comedic thats all me

So just to be clear, the goal was never to actually protect voter rights from being turned into a license on the basis of it being a right?

Yes and they most likely have you vote provisionally, such as in my state, meaning they take time to verify your identity before your vote is counted. Or you can do it at the DMV while getting your license or Real ID (which Americans are required to have to travel domestic), both of which you need proof of being a citizen (DL has a specific citizen option). Even without voter ID, your citizenship is verified.
