Because Netanyahu asked him to. Fun fact: Israel has been asking us to bomb Iran since the 80s, and no president has ever even entertained the idea, except for dumbfuck Trump. And Iran has been 6 months away from a nuclear weapon for over 40 years now.

I mean, let’s not be too nice to the past Presidents, they all *entertained* the idea. They all asked their Joint Chiefs of Staff if a war with Iran was feasible, and winnable. They also all listened when the Joint Chiefs of Staff said no. Donald Trump was just the first one myopic enough to actually fuckin do it.
