It feels helpless in the US because the democrats are basically controlled opposition. They give republicans whatever they want legislatively and in fact the DNC is incentivized to lose elections because they get way more money in donations with republicans in office. If there was a real left wing party at a meaningful size then it wouldn’t be pointless. I only really feel inspired to go to the polling place if a DSA endorsed candidate is on the ballot.
