If you aren’t still masking, now is a great time to re-start! COVID killed >100k Americans annually between 2022–2024. Be safe; don’t be ableist :)

In 2025 an estimated 35,000 Americans died of covid. An estimated 45,000 died of the flu. If you didn’t think everyone needed to mask before the pandemic, it’s not logical to expect them to mask now.

No air filtration/cleaning systems are also killer. The $ saved in fewer lost work hours and medical bills would be astronomic compared to the investment needed to install these systems in businesses, schools, public spaces, etc.

so? Maybe people don’t want to be miserable. If you’re still wearing a mask now, you’ve been traumatized.

If a pandemic isn’t traumatizing, what is?

I woke up at 6 am every day to listen to Chopin Nocturn for an hour. My dog I literally grew up with died of cancer surgery right before schools shut down. I spent an entire year in solitude and reflection with no dog to keep company, went to online school numbing myself to bleak reality trapped in a household full of arguments and sometimes insults. Going out anywhere meant my skin would be irritated and my ability to communicate dampened, like the ability to socialize in general. I moved on.
