I don’t think there is much that can be done about that character trait. Regardless of who the guy is, they’re still in power and capable of making decisions that are either in favor of or against the common good. That’s something to worry about, because those decisions pose immediate consequences.

Wdym now? That’s always been the case. Like if someone commits a crime yes they have the label of the criminal but that’s also not the entirety of who they are. If someone votes for a criminal, to say that that is all they voted for is to completely disavow everything else.
