Isn’t this during a time when most people don’t work anyways? And even if they did how would they abandoned their job?

It's basically just to not fall into the trap of spending a bunch of money on meaningless things during Black Friday so you don't line the pockets of our current government. If you can't afford to miss work (which I completely understand) then maybe focus on supporting small businesses if you want to participate.

Sure like I get the vibe but the advertised movement just seems completely unfeasible for many. Another practical note here is that getting groceries at Walmart is so much cheaper than buying local. I’d love to make a difference and buy local and I plan to when I’m not broke but I just can’t afford that rn

Spending money on groceries is alright, the main message is to just try not to spend money on unnecessary things

Ah ok, I’m already good on that one! Maybe this is just more intended for richer people who are better able to use these levers to harm the powers that be. Which I’m all about don’t get me wrong
