I don’t blame all Israelis for the actions of their government, but we can’t act as if the Israeli public isn’t super right wing and didn’t vote their government into power in the first place. When people say “Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East” that is generally true. That means Netanyahu is only in power because the public voted for his party.

Netanyahu’s primary political rivals all have fairly similar politics. Even the Israeli politicians of a few decades ago are way more moderate than the government in Israel now.

The actions the IOF take are at the request of an elected government, the Israeli people play some part to blame in all of it same as Americans play a part in the US’ war crimes

Oh yeah the American government is the only thing protecting Israeli leaders from international prosecution or UN peacekeeping. It’s what gives Israel cover
