Isn’t it weird how 9/11 didn’t hurt the GOP the way it would have absolutely destroyed gore’s chances at reelection and his whole presidency. It defined bush’s presidency and “leadership through strength” thing. I guess that was always going to play to the GOP as a strength over decades, regardless of who was in power
