
Tbf there tho, the more modern evangelical Christians in particular seem to consistently make the argument that if you don’t follow religion you can’t have morals, suggesting that morals can only come from whatever religion you follow. Meaning they only hold those morals because they think that whatever higher power they believe in told them to. Like you make a great point, and you’re absolutely right. But in this day and age, it’s a reasonable conclusion, and a valid point of concern
