Why do republicans want to destroy higher education? If you don't like college don't go.

I mean you already know this, but it’s because highly educated people rarely remain conservative

I know so many ppl who weren’t political in high school, go to college for a year and become completely liberal or overly political. Friends and family members included

Did you see that clip of Fuentes saying to his chat there shouldn’t be voter literacy tests because half of them would not be able to vote? 😭

I kind of agree with the second part, so many people with degrees, so little job opportunities, and that won’t get better as ai improves, government funding trade schools will probably put more value into the economy long term.

Overly political? What does that even entail

In this world you have to be overly political because unfortunately politics do affect the working class! For example: did you know that liberals actually used to support Deglobalization and it was republicans who pushed for globalization? Except now there’s a 180 that has been done by Trump and he wants deglobalization now at a time where it’s too late to bring back that much industry in a short amount of time. Also how can we get revenue from tariffs if everybody wants to stop trading with us?

The answer is: you can’t get money if nobody wants to trade with us. Objectively, no matter how you look at it the current administrations polices hurt working Americans. The job loss has been insane and this is why you have to be political in this day and age. However, I doubt that you’ll understand because you appear to be a statistic for poor education which is unfortunate. But wanted to let you know that your party is simply adopting precious liberal views a few generations too late.

You don’t think that’s strange that there’s an almost linear trend between higher education and becoming more left?

Yeah I hate to say it but you’re right on the second part with the trade school stuff. And again why do you think college causes people to lean more left? Because college causes people to think for themselves for the first time that’s it’s. They leave their tribe (families political alignment) and begin to form their own. Thats it.
