YES. I'm white, but white people terrify me. Especially THAT sort of white person. I forget I'm actually one of them until I really look at my arm or something during an interaction 😭 (I did not grow up around many white people, nor did I ever end up bonding with or frequently interacting with many white people)

I immediately associate the camo shirts with low IQ individuals

Maybe a hot take but Not really, they are kinda dumb lightweight pushovers on mommy or daddy’s money. I mean other than saying a ton of racial slurs, they get too drunk to cause any super major harm.

I’ve been on sports teams with people like this. They can be nice people but always with some glaring knowledge gaps.

The only people I know like this have gone into professions like the military, blue collar work, stay at home moms, farm work or nurses / teaching young children

Nah I know plenty from wealthier investing or landlord families. Don’t need to be talking about this like some weird 18th century British eugenicist

I don’t know how weird 18th century British eugenicists talk, mb if I’m giving that impression, just going off my own experience of knowing country / southern types like that

I just think that talking about people groups as being destined for labor-centered professions is weird especially when there’s such a big cultural element to this. It sounds like “the Irish can only perform low-intellect work” or something. I’m from the south, yes this tends to be a more rural low-class thing but I know some rich rednecks

What do the rich rednecks usually end up doing for work from what you’ve seen?

Landlords, being involved in finances/investing, owning farming or forestry companies.

Ikr and some of these type ppl came into my workplace and I had a panic attack and my parents are saying I’m trying to play the victim. I feel bad for me crying about seeing ppl like this but it genuinely makes me feel fight or flight. My step mom is white and said me being scared of these type ppl is the same as me saying “omg those blacks over there are making me nervous” It’s not! Bc being black isn’t political. Now they triggered the panic attack bc they remind me of ppl who are racist bc

Pattern recognition I have to recognize ppl who might be that way. Now I’m not saying everyone who looks like this is racist. But some are and that’s what’s frightening. I am confused if I am trying to play victim bc i genuinely get scared seeing ppl like this. I’m working on myself to now get scared of them.
