Jan 6th was similar to the beerhall putsch. People may have been convicted but the movement gained traction from it and the inability of centrist libs to realize this is going to be the death of democracy

The idea that it’s a party issue is absurd, the issue is systemic. No matter who was in charge during J6 and no matter what leader was behind the J6ers the historical comparisons are apt: inability or outright refusal to address fascism will lead to fascists proliferating. If there was a legal method to refute fascism in government it would have already won

The system isn’t wrong it doesn’t matter how good the system is if the American public doesn’t gaf. Americans voted for Trump and saved him from his prosecution. Before that Americans didn’t gaf when they stole obama’s Supreme Court pick. Americans didn’t gaf when Trump was saying insane shit in 2016. Bad voting and political apathy have consequences on the system.
