I love being a secular humanist because I can both believe that carrying a child to term is a choice, and believe that the preservation of potential human life is the better choice, making me a great person to talk to pro-lifers about my stance!

So the key difference I usually find with pro-lifers is a philosophical one. One that no amount of argument will really ever change. Which is, pro-lifers believe life begins at conception, and I believe life begins when a baby draws its first breath, or is capable of drawing breath. That’s why I oppose abortions after the point of viability, but I still think it’s a choice before viability.

And that’s pretty much the average stance for those that are pro choice. The issue tho is that pro lifers think people en mass are waiting until they’re 7-8 months in and then randomly choosing to get an abortion, when that just isn’t happening
