Can you explain why you despise her though

Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

Because she wants to be audacious but has no follow through, she will say shit like “Latin immigrants voting for Trump have a slave mentality”, which is correct, but will AGGRESSIVELY backpedal when questioned. She looks weak. On top of that, her campaign is explicitly focused on herself and not what she can do for the people. Her ads are about how the republicans don’t like her, her speeches are about how the republicans don’t like her. But policy? Nothing, no where to be found, wonder why.

She comes off like this self centered ghoul who thinks too highly of her own ability to be edgy and different, but her policy prescriptions are milquetoast Hilary Clinton tier crap

These policies seem pretty progressive. She’s literally trying to get the federal government to support free buses

Sure, but she’s a pro Israel candidate. That’s a no from me dude sorry.

upvote -3 downvote

And based on polling of democrats nationally, probably a no for a lot of other folks. Maybe she will win tho. Not that I think it’d be very good if she did.

upvote -2 downvote

But you’re right those are relatively progressive policies. Too bad she literally never talks about them, and only talks about herself for some reason.

Sounds like you haven’t actually taken the time to look. And both dem candidates in TX are arguably pro-Israel, so it’s not like Crockett is the only one

Crockett is significantly more pro Israel.

If she or Talarico win, Dems flip another seat in the Senate. That’s absolutely good

Talarico took 30k from Miriam Adelson 💀

I just suspect she’d immediately fold to power if elected.

Sure but Talaricos actual position is notably more amenable to the Palestinian cause than crocketts, despite her trying to frame herself as another Mamdani

upvote -1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> mushy.the.mushroom 2w

Sorry, let me clarify since that didn’t seem to concern you: Talarico is taking Zionist casino mogul money. Trump’s largest donor. If Israel is your dealbreaker, this is not the race for you 💀

Anonymous replying to -> mushy.the.mushroom 2w

Crockett was literally a thing before Mamdani…

upvote 1 downvote

Right but Talaricos actual stated position on Israel is far better than crocketts. I know they both take Zionist ghoul money.

I’m aware she was a thing before Mamdani, it doesn’t mean she isn’t framing herself as another Mamdani.

So you don’t think Talarico might be lying?

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

If he’s not lying he should give the money back, just like every other Dem who promises not to take AIPAC (or even any PAC at all) money

upvote 1 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

Do I think he’s lying more than I think Crockett is lying? No. Maybe he’s lying, I’m not a wizard. But Crockett has openly been more pro Israel than Talarico like for years

So she’s doing it for free? Because I don’t see any AIPAC or UDF money going to her

upvote 1 downvote

Can you point out specific examples

upvote 1 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

Talarico on Gaza: “I’ve been upset with my party’s inability to call out what’s happening in Gaza” Crockett on Gaza: “we can’t abandon our relationship with Israel just because of the actions of Netanyahu” Like come on. It’s clear who’s better on this.

Also, Talarico took money from addleson for gambling. Not Israel. Which, yk, I’m anti gambling, so that’s still bad for me. But you misrepresented it, I think maybe intentionally. Maybe not, but idk.

Anonymous replying to -> mushy.the.mushroom 2w

lol, who said it can’t be both?

upvote 1 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

Well seeing as he took the money from a pact specifically about legalizing casino gambling and not Israel? Me?

upvote 0 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

It wasn’t both, that’s just not how this works. Addleson didn’t literally personally cut him a check. She gives money to pacts, which stand for certain things. He didn’t get his money from a pact that is pro Israel in any active policy prescription way.

And AIPAC has another PAC called “United Democracy Project”. I don’t see the difference. They’re fooling you 😭

Has Talarico called for a ceasefire? Crockett hasn’t

upvote 1 downvote

Does that united democracy project pact specifically have to do with Israel? Because it sounds like it does. Do they mention Israel?

Oh wow, a ceasefire? What a fucking firebrand. Why doesn’t Crockett call out her own party, hm?

upvote -1 downvote

I said Crockett hasn’t. I’m trying to show you they’re two sides of the same coin when it comes to Israel

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> mushy.the.mushroom 2w

They do. But everyone knows Miriam Adelson is linked to Israel too. Trump’s largest donor? You wouldn’t catch me keeping that money

upvote 1 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

Well seeing as you’re voting for a pro Israel candidate, and just admitted to intentionally misrepresenting the “United democracy project” to make it seem more like the fucking gambling pact Talarico took money from, I find it hard to believe you wouldn’t take that money.

upvote 0 downvote
user profile icon

I mean you’re literally laundering a pro Israel candidate to make her look less pro Israel and her opponent more. You’re the opposition man, this is why I called you a fed.

I can’t vote in this race lmfao. I’m not voting for either. I didn’t misrepresent UDP either. Anyone with a brain knows that money from Adelson should be returned

Talarico wouldn’t commit to cutting aid to Israel. Just like Crockett.

It should be. It’s the ultimate tree litmus test for whether or not a candidate will capitulate to power.

You don’t think capitulating to the gambling lobby is a dealbreaker for you? I’m just trying to understand this

upvote 1 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

No. Because capitulating to a gambling lobby doesn’t automatically make you a slave to the DNC. It just means you capitulated to the gambling lobby. It’s bad, sure, but it doesn’t inherently signal weakness. Gambling kills people. It ruins lives. It’s evil. It is also a billion times less evil than laundering a nation that has engaged in genocidal behavior for like a hundred years now.

upvote 1 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 2w

It’s like the difference between taking money from like, big booze, versus big Hitler. That’s the two levels of evil we’re working on. Not to mention, it makes Crockett just objectively less likely to win. Being pro Israel in that way is a hinderance, a big one, and one of many.
