True. China has a massive stockpile of oil saved up just for an emergency like this, but while it will certainly serve them well for about a year if they run at their normal energy needs, they probably won’t be gunning for a Pacific War now.

I would hope that this in addition to purging their military leadership and watching their air defenses completely fail in Iran, the Chinese will take a bigger step back. Allegedly we just had the first multiple day period of Chinese planes not violating Taiwanese air space in like a decade

Well, take this all with a grain of salt, but during the Cambodian border conflict, Chinese air defenses failed in every engagement, and ZTZ 96’s and 99 exports were revealed to be useless in combat. So we’ll have to see how this all plays out
