It’s funny cause “Killer Whale” is doubly inaccurate from a human perspective. They aren’t whales, and they’ve never killed any of us in the wild. You’ve had a few killing people in captivity but containment like that would make anything intelligent crazy.

its not a compliment tho. what i mean by "the spinosaurus treatment" is that they become radically less cool the more you/we know about them like the spinosaurus is my favorite (mainstream) dinosaur (diabloceratops cooler) but recent discoveries have been making it a chud

Different orca populations actually have different cultures and diets. Some are fish eaters, some eat marine mammals. They recently discovered that mammal-eating orcas in Russia will kills and eat fish-eating orcas, and this may be cause fish-eating orcas form such large social groups for protection.
