people here don’t realize that we have europe by the balls to a point that if we took greenland by force the most dire consequences would be the end of the north atlantic treaty and that’s pretty much it
That is a very very dire consequence. Like world-reshaping

this is not an argument in favor this is just saying that people are being dramatic saying it’ll be war

Our agreement with the Netherlands to prevent ASML from giving advanced EUV machines to China has entered the chat. Also, basically every trade relationship we have with them, and the fact we’d lose a fuck ton of influence to Russia

Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if we leave NATO and let Russia have their way with them. Russia has been getting bullied by other European countries for too long just because they have the backing of the US. Same with Taiwan and China. Isolationism is best for our country.

The most we’ll probably see is some big show of force, which I have a feeling markets will not react well to

“Russia has been getting bullied” lmfao

Isolationism. So you mean, the opposite of what Trump is doing with trying to fuck with everyone near us

Self defense ≠ anti-isolationist. Venezuela is pushing deadly drugs into our country killing thousands of Americans per year. Iran developing nuclear weapons is an existential threat to us.

I’m sure Greenland is an existential threat 😑

Greenland is just an empty threat to get Denmark to provide better Arctic security.

Drugs don’t kill people. People kill people. They wouldn’t die if they stopped taking them

They committed $14B to arctic and North Atlantic security last year. Meanwhile, Iceland doesn’t even have a military, and I see no pressure on Sweden, who has only committed $30B to ALL defense over the next 10 years
