I’m an educator and one of the FIRST things you learn about is child development, the pyramid of needs, and adverse childhood experiences (trauma). I truly cannot fathom the amount of impact that something like deportation, custody, detainment, etc would have on children, adolescents, and young adults. Let alone humans in general.

I have a friend who works for an alternative school and many of her kids have stopped coming. One child’s home was raided the other day at 2am by ICE thugs who demanded to enter without a warrant. They didn’t even have one of those phony “administrative” ones. It’s fucking horrifying
