I used to think otherwise, but I was wrong. Sweet and savory is a great combo, and the Hawaiians deserve their spam and pineapple pizza toppings.

Well, I mean I grew up with an Asian diet, so I don’t see the issue Americans have with pineapple on pizza. In Asia, this is not a big fight.

this tracks, there's a significant influence from Asian cuisine on modern Hawaiian cuisine. I think a lot of Americans were just in denial about the power of the sweet and savory combo, it's really the best thing you can experience from food in my opinion. I'm very happy I saw the light

This is so real. Grew up on a caribbean diet and never understood the hate for pineapple on pizza. We put fruit with and on everything here and the combination is always delicious.
