Well… I’m not an anthropologist but I figure the big difference is many of the Christian’s fed to lions were there for believing in Jesus rather than going on a mass killing spree that included killing a mother while she was holding her child. I could be wrong though, anthropology has come a long way.

Im not an archer but think you’re missing the point that public executions are bad regardless and have dangerous effects on the psyche of people who witness, especially children. Then again, archery has come a long way now that rifles exist…

American children see … allll kinds of messed up stuff. You ever talk to a tablet kid? It’s like rolling the dice on which part of the internet they’ve investigated most recently.
