We need to talk about the epidemic of right wing politicians that probably should have had careers in theater, band, art, or something similar. Something about getting rejected from a creative career path seems to awaken something in certain folks.

Actually, I think it’s just a coincidence. psychopaths and narcissists like that aren’t good at art, because it’s just not how their brains work, and of course at least some of them would like to be artists, but when it doesn’t work out they go into politics instead because that world incentivizes their personality type and allows them to thrive. They’re not evil because they got rejected. They became evil because the world that didn’t reject them incentivizes underhanded shit

I also do want to put a bit of blame on these kinds of people too though. Art is not something you can be rewarded for easily, but if your true passion is to be an artist no amount of rejection will deter you for long. I think these people enjoy the aesthetic of art but want the reward without the work or at least without the journey it takes to success. It’s either a weak minded mentality, or entitlement, that they went into something with a higher chance of being rewarded easily

Art isn’t inherent to anyone, some people are just willing to put in the work to make their success happen and some aren’t and some very select few choose to be evil instead to get the validation of being a successful artist easier

Keanu Reeves, Adam Savage, Ian Hubert, and basically every non-executive level person in the industry who hasn’t been called out for sexual assault. I mean obviously every group is going to have evil people, but most creatives are cool because if you don’t work well on a team then people don’t want to work with you and you don’t get employed.

It’s the entitlement, 100%. People like them can’t fathom a universe where they aren’t immediately praised for everything they do as if it was god’s gift to humanity.

My other comment is on top now, but I feel like it’s important to mention that I posted this BEFORE I posted that other one expanding on my actual thoughts on this subject…

And yeah I know it’s not like they’re incapable of being naturally talented, I’m just saying if they aren’t then they’re just gonna immediately drop art and go on to politics or some other type of executive role that grants the attention they feel they deserve.

I meant painter or sculpture artist. The famous during their lifetime ones tend to have a lot of baggage if not straight out crimes. Such as Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso

Well that’s a different story all together. Also you don’t need to be a narcissist or a psychopath to be a bad person. Or vice versa.
