Don’t know who either of these people are, but as a self-proclaimed Democrat my only concern is that they hold the pedophile protectors accountable. I would never vote for a conservative based on their support of child rapists.

There are no current republicans holding pedophiles accountable. Otherwise, the Epstein files would be given the attention and respect they deserve to hold these children rapists accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

One of them was done by an AK-47 and one was done by a person who was previously convicted of a gun-related crime, and both guns were legally purchased, so yes, prevention laws could have stopped these crimes

Proactive policing would have done much more, you can disregard a law pretty easily, however it's very difficult to disregard a bullet placed in your center mass.

Let me ask, I assume the gun law that the latter person broke was also put in place to be preventative of gun violence, so why didn't that law actually prevent the shooting?
