 Modern banking systems are the source of many of our problems. Much of the ability to control money has been delegated by the govt to banks, who issue debt under the policy agenda of entities with the most access to credit and who in turn lobby the govt

Monetary policy then is no longer accountable to the public, it is controlled by private entities, their backers, and the people who own the most capital and have the best access to credit

Debt is a tool for those with historical access to wealth and capital to expand their assets (Elon musk buying Twitter with loans) while also being a trap for poor people in which their money is funneled upwards
