That’s the implication of the “New York forgot.” They’re referring to how people always say “never forget” about 9/11, and then New York elected a Muslim man as Mayor. A lot of Americans use 9/11 to justify their fear of Muslims. So the implication in saying “New York forgot” is that Mamdani is bad because Muslims did 9/11. Can’t believe you didn’t pick up on that.
