I actually study this: post wwii you started seeing a drop in antisemitism while anti black racism was still going strong. Jews got to benefit from their white adjacent status and were climbing up socially and economically and this created a rift in the politics of the communities when before they had been more aligned

Besides African Americans, the Demographic that supported civil rights the most were American Jews. Not sure why the two have beef.

I know part of it is exploitation in the music industry, I think Kanye and Michael Jackson has spoken to this but that’s all I can really say

The most significant black antisemitic group is probably the Nation of Islam and the Black Hebrew Israelites, neither of which have any majority acceptance in Black communities

I think a particular aspect of both the Asian and Jewish dynamic is that both groups are very often business owners, and that contributes to further tension when those businesses are operating within black communities. You can look up a term: Middleman Minority. It is common for animosity to go towards ethnic groups who tend to operate as merchants or similar roles.

And this status also means that the racial stereotypes in our culture about theft and crime is absorbed by those business owners, leading to a distrust of black people.

Black Americans started supporting more militant factions like the black panthers whereas Jews were more invested in preserving the liberal order. These rifts also led to an increase of antisemitism in the black community a la Nation of Islam which only widened the gaps in the communities as both saw the other as potentially hostile

I love how the internet allows for connection of people who study niche topics. That sounds like a really interesting sociological/cultural set of topics
