As a Republican, there is no reason for a socialist to be elected. Mamdani seems cool but 95% of the reason he won was because of Trump. If you drive the country so far to the right, they will swing back so far to the left. With that said, I hope Mamdani succeeds for a few years, only to drive our country back down the middle, then he can disappear

I can’t believe how many times I have to type this in this app, but the American left is actually considered center to right to the rest of the world. If an American liberal when to Europe their views would be considered centrist. Now as for the American right wing; Europeans see them as extreme as Nazi Germany. The left isn’t extreme, we’ve just completely lost our humanity and the plot

Mamdani is actually just a normal human being with normal human empathy who hasn’t been corrupted by tech billionaires. But our politics and the right wing are so crazy that we view any politician with eyeballs and humane priorities as an extremist in comparison.
