Jesus is neither, he both tells people to obey traditional authority figures (Conservative) but also chews them out for their abuse (Liberal) Matthew 23:2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you.”…13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to”

while he has a lot of left leaning views, definitely not completely leftist

There is no “would be.” Jesus is. And don’t associate someone’s God with a contemporary political alignment, especially when He lived on Earth 2000 years ago.

you don’t know what a leftist is or at least you are pretending you don’t

I’m a leftist dude. By definition we don’t support capitalism, meaning we don’t support either capitalist party. You’re probably confusing us with liberals.

Bro I’m talking about you conflating independent with leftist. Google biconditional statement. What you said isn’t logical

A majority of leftists are independents, they aren’t affiliated with any party

No, it’s just not relevant here. Leftists are independents AND they criticize both parties frequently. Both are true.

there are independents that don’t support capitalism, such as myself, that just want morals and equal rights, just want the government run differently. you’re saying the only thing that makes them left is that they don’t support it, which is a weak arguement

Ok so your reasoning is that all leftists are independents because they criticize both parties (this isn’t true, but whatever). Therefore, independents are leftists. Maybe you know what a leftist is but not an independent. Independent refers to registration to a political party, not support for political parties.

By definition, if you don’t support capitalism you’re on the left. That’s what “left” means.

I don’t usually support the use of AI, but I recommend that you try asking a chatbot to explain how leftists and independents are different. I am not sure how you can be active in politics as a leftist if you don’t get how these things are different. Also, what you said is still not true. You can not support capitalism and not be on the left. This is another conflation of the same variety. You might be young and very new to the left.

your argument is still invalid. there CAN be conservatives that don’t agree with capitalism, but they are just rare
