Anyone have any good political-theory based fiction recs? Like Animal Farm, The Jungle, 1984, that kinda thing. Don’t have to be on one side of the aisle.

Handmaids tale is a good one albeit a bit too close to comfort for rn. Also Fahrenheit 451 and a brave new world

The Hate U Give is good but not really political theory. Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore might be interesting but also not really theory (kinda political-adjacent when you think about it, especially with recent advances in AI). I read both in HS

Also world war Z! Pretty different from the movie, it’s written like it’s a war reporter collecting stories from people who lived through a zombie outbreak/war. It’s such a fun read, they do an excellent job on the world building and the way they cover every world power and their reactions to the crisis is fascinating
